This is a work in progress. I've yet to finish the metal and do the Normal maps.

Spore inspiration

Here are a number of creatures I created in a game called Spore. I had a hoot. One day I think I'll use them as inspiration to create my own in Maya. Tell me which one is your favorite.

Rhino version 2

I feel him having bigger shoulders, forearms, hands and belly is closer to the original sketch. I like him better.

Fish Monger's shop version 1

It's going to go through a lot of changes yet.

Rhino Character version 1

This is my first attempt at my Rhino character. I've made him too human like, I need to return back to my original sketch (posted on March 10th). He's going to be the fish monger in my fish monger scene.

My website has been updated . . . wahoo!

I hired Jeremy of Creative 3 Productions to make a cool Flash gallery. Once that was done, I was able to completely overhaul the site (www.paulfc.com). I like it much better now.

Portfolio version 1 - No Epic models yet . . .

Because of a possible job opportunity, I've rushed this short portfolio out. My plan in April is to get the epic models done.

Planning for Monsterrrsssss!!!!!

These are some initial monster sketches I'm working on for a portfolio scene I hope to complete within a month.

I totally dig the Rhinoman!

I also really liked the little dude by the Rhinoman's snout above. This guy to our left is further development of that little thumbnail. Right now, I think I don't want to deal with hair so I'm going to have to think up an alternative.

Learning 3D Max - Oy!

This was a complicated piece, but it was an excellent project to learn a new software. Up until now we've been modeling everything in Maya (a game and movie studio favorite). This new program is called 3D Max (another studio favorite). We learned to model this from scratch.

Another Pop Quiz - a butcher block

This so far, is my favorite project. We were to model and texture from scratch an item that belongs in a market. Since it had the fish, I had to do it.
